Reader 1.1 Changelog
We’re going to be submitting Reader 1.1 to Apple today, which means it should hopefully be on App Store by Friday.
Here’s what’s changed since 1.0:
- Improved updating speed & performance
- Reader is now useable while updating
- Added Favorite Feeds & Feed Items
- Added App Settings:
- You can turn auto update on/off
- Show/Hide Homescreen Badge
- Show/Hide Feed Icons
- Hide old items from Overview panel
- Intelligent feed updating checks for changes before downloading data
- Improvements for offline support
- Fixed crashes caused by feed icons
- Fixed bug that cleared out all feed items
- Added updating indicator throughout entire app
- Improved handling of non-US characters
- Improved overall application performance
- Fixed Category new item count
- Updated reload behavior:
- Pressing reload on “Feeds” tab will reloads all feeds
- Pressing reload on Overview tab with All Items selected reloads all feeds
- Pressing reload on Overview tab with a category selected will only reload feeds in that category
- Pressing reload in Favorites will only reload the favorite feeds
- Improved feed parsing support to handle non-standard dates and descriptions
- Prevents feed icons from loading while feeds are updating to avoid performance slow down
- Added more locations to check for feed icon
- Only checks for feed icon once per session
- Fixed crash when updating too many feeds at one time
- Changed Overview and feed settings interface icons
