We finally had F-MyLife 1.5.1 get approved by Apple last week, so you should all be running that now.
A lot of you are complaining about the ads, especially since we changed the way they worked in the new version. The changes we made were due to suggestions from our ad providers. As for getting rid of the ads, we submitted a Pro version of F-MyLife back when we originally submitted F-MyLife 1.5 (April 16). The Pro version has no ads, and the following features:
- Write your own FMLs
- Post comments on FMLs
- Share FMLs (Twitter / Email to a Friend)
- Keep track of your Favorite FMLs
- Moderate FMLs that aren’t public yet
We honestly have no idea why F-MyLife Pro isn’t live yet. Apple called us several times over the last 2 weeks to have us fix what they weren’t comfortable with in F-MyLife to get it approved, both the free version and Pro version. F-MyLife Free went live last Tuesday when they said it would, but Pro didn’t, and we haven’t heard anything about it since then. We’re going to attempt to get in touch with them again early this week to see what the hold up is.
The Pro version, when it finally gets on AppStore, will sell for 99c.
As for sites similar to fmylife.com that you want us to create apps for, we’re more than willing. However we’re not going to do apps for sites that directly copy FML, so don’t bother requesting. We’ve already created an app for TextsFromLastNight, however we’ve yet to receive permission to use it.

Feel free to email us at info@enormego.com or shoot us a tweet @enormego about the site you want us to do an app for and we’ll take them into consideration.

Well it’s about time.
After months of pumping out some pretty incredible iPhone apps, we finally captured the #1 spot on iTunes.

Our FMyLife app which works with the incredibly hilarious website, http://fmylife.com is #1 on the US Top Free Apps list.
We’ve got a lot on the way as far as FMyLife goes, we have a minor update we submitted with Apple a little over a week ago that should be hitting AppStore soon. Beyond that, we’ve been working on FMyLife for the last few days and have an awesome 1.5 version ready to be submitted as soon as Apple approves 1.0.1.
Thanks to everyone who helped get us to #1, and for those of you who haven’t grabbed FMyLife yet, grab it here.

If you’ve ever developed and sold an application on the iTunes AppStore, you’ll know that iTunes Connect isn’t exactly a good solution when it comes to reporting how your applications are doing.
In fact, unless you pop open a spreadsheet application and keep track of your daily sales reports by manually figuring them out every day, you’ll have no idea how much money you’re owed until the end of the month. Even when you get your monthly financial reports, it still takes a bit of work to figure out what will be in your bank account at the end of the month and then THOSE numbers don’t even make sense.
To top it all off, it’s impossible to tell how your application is doing until the next day and even then, your sales reports won’t tell you what times during the day were better than others.
Every time you put a new application up for sale, it gets exponentially worse.
We wanted a better iTunes Connect, and we weren’t willing to hold our breath and wait for Apple to do it.
That’s why we built “Heartbeat”, a hosted web application that allows you to keep track of your AppStore business with ease. Analyze your daily reports, get real time stats, manage your balances and even get crash reports, all from one beautifully designed web interface.
To see it, check out our first-look screenshots on flickr: http://flickr.com/photos/34890656@N07/3240164568/in/set-72157613130433597/
Heartbeat is currently in private beta and we’re hoping to release it to the general public in the next 3-4 weeks; however, if you’re interested in getting in on the beta now, drop us a line at info@enormego.com. There is plenty of space and we’d love to have as many participants as we can get to really iron things out.

Enormego is proud to announce our new website dedicated to developers just like us! We’ve learned a lot on the internet over the years. In fact, everything we know and put into our products can be attributed to one of the thousands of various development communities out there that we’ve utilized. Keeping with the spirit of the New Year and as a gift back to the community, we’ve launched developers.enormego.com.
On this website you’ll find commentary relating to our on-going product development and posts covering anything we feel might help other developers. In addition to that, you’ll find code samples and open source frameworks and libraries that we will publish for the community.
Since we develop for the iPhone, Mac and Web, you’ll see a lot of Objective-C and Web Technologies (PHP/XHTML/CSS/JS…etc) on here. We also tend to develop a lot of client/server related products, so you’ll definitely see some posts regarding server setups and configuration among other related things.
We hope you enjoy this new resource. We’re very excited to begin populating the website with useful information.

Heartbeat is a new web application service that we’re developing. It started as a product that we developed to help us better manage our business (developing iPhone applications) and it’s spawned into such a useful product for us that we figured we would share it with the world. We really can’t show you much, so consider this a teaser for the time being.

We hope to get this out by Mid-January; however, it depends on how far we go with adding new features.
There lots going on at enormego, so keep an eye on our blog feed and be sure to check out our twitter page too.
